Do I need an account or a password?
No. All you need is the Champions card number on the front of the card. There is nothing to register on this site.
Can I deposit for someone else?
Yes. Enter their card number. They get an SMS the moment the money lands. You do not need their permission to put money in — and you cannot take money out.
What is the minimum I can deposit?
There isn’t one. Deposit any amount from R1 upwards.
How long until the money is on the card?
As soon as PayFast confirms the payment — usually a few minutes with Instant EFT, immediately with card and wallet payments.
My card has been cancelled. What now?
We can’t deposit onto a cancelled card. Take the card into any Chester Butcheries and a cashier will sort it out on the spot.
Can you see my bank details?
No. The payment happens on PayFast’s own page. Chester never sees or stores your bank or card details.
Money left my account but the card was not topped up.
Phone us straight away on 031 001 9501, or WhatsApp us. Give us the payment reference if you have it. We can trace the payment and put it right — you will not lose the money.
